Why is the Eden Tower this price. Isn't it just plastic, lights and a pump?
Lets talk about the elephant in the room...
We are an honest and open company and we want to be as transparent as possible with all our customers and future customers. That is why we are not shying away from the most common question, the elephant in the room... The price.
Why is the Eden Tower priced the way it is? isn't it just plastic, lights and a pump?
To answer that question.. yes AND no
Every piece of the Eden Tower has been specially designed to fix issues we seen in other systems like refills, customs parts, plants being overcrowded, way to many parts, hard to clean, the list goes on and on.
In order to fix these problems we had to create something new. What existed was not working. So what we did was break down each element of a indoor garden to ensure all the problems were being fixed from the foundation up.
At first glance it might just look like a bunch of plastic, and plastic is pretty cheap right?
The truth is not all plastics are the same, when you grow food indoors you need to make sure that the chemicals in plastic can not leach into the water over time, it is food grade, BPA free and can not break down under UV lights. This high quality, specialize plastic is much more expensive than common plastic containers you can get at stores.
The Eden Tower uses this highly specialize plastic which is safe for both humans and plants. It will not break down over time, harmful chemicals will not leach into the water, it is food grade, BPA free and UV resistant (will not breakdown under UV lighting).
We make sure all pieces are the perfect thickness so they are durable and sturdy. Eden Tower is able to last your life time, it will not break and can take a lot of abuse ( by pets, people, moving etc.) It is extremely sturdy and can take the weight of the plants, water and any surprise force.
On top of that, we made sure that the plastic had the desirable finish so it is easy to clean, will not yellow over time and looks amazing.
Lastly we designed the system to be extremely easy to assembly, take apart and clean. To do this we removed cords, hoses and made it so all the parts simply click together.
However to achieve this, we need extreme precision of each piece. To manufacture parts with this amount of precision we need to use expensive machinery which is expensive to run.
Although this system looks extremely simple and is easy to set up and take apart. To get it to this point took tremendous amount of effort, energy and precision.
Its just lights, they are not that expensive...
When you are growing a garden indoors you need special lights. You need grow lights that produce a specific light spectrum plants need to grow. The Eden Tower uses LED grow lights and just like plastic, not all LED grow lights are made the same.
LED grow lights are trending and there are a bunch of cheap knock-offs that are low quality and do not produce enough light or the proper spectrum. Therefor people using them will experience poor plant growth.
With the Eden Tower, we wanted to make sure that your plants grow insanely well, so we use amazing LED grow lights. They produce the proper light spectrum and produce more than enough light at the proper intensity. This ensures gardens grown in the Eden Tower are huge, lush and healthy.
In saying all this, Yes the Eden Tower is plastic, lights and a pump but it is not just any plastic and lights, it is specialized high quality and designed with the safest, durable plastic, and produce the best results.
