Trouble Shooting Your System

Lights

Welcome to our hydroponic system lighting troubleshooting guide. If you're experiencing issues with your lights, don't worry - we've got you covered. In this guide, we'll walk you through common lighting problems and provide you with simple solutions to resolve them.

First, let's discuss what to do if your lights won't turn on. The most common cause of this issue is an incorrectly set timer. To resolve this, ensure that the timer is correctly set by pushing the black tabs down. Next, confirm that the light plug is fully pushed into the 3-way plug and that the electrical pillars are connected to the 3-way plugs properly. If your lights still do not turn on, there may be an issue with the driver (fixture), and it will need to be replaced. Contact Hope Innovations, and they will give you some additional things to check. If these fail, they will replace the lights.

Next, if your lights won't turn off, make sure that your timer is correctly set. The lights will turn on when the black tabs are pushed down. Additionally, there is a red switch on the side of the timer. Ensure that it is pushed down to the "timer" setting. If it is pushed up, the lights will always be on.

We hope that this guide has been helpful in troubleshooting your hydroponic lighting issues. By following these simple steps, you'll be able to ensure that your plants receive the optimal amount of light for their growth and development.

How the fittings get assembled

The bottom silicon fitting with slits should be placed on the water pillar, followed by the top fitting in the bottom tray.

Neglecting to install these fittings correctly could result in water not reaching the intended layer, so be sure to take the time to position them accurately.

To make the installation process smoother, you may use Vaseline or soap as a lubricant.

Troubleshooting pump

If you're encountering issues with your hydroponic system's pump, don't worry, we've got you covered! In this guide, we'll go through the common pump issues you may encounter and provide you with simple solutions to resolve them.

First, let's discuss what to do if your pump is humming loudly. This could indicate that the pump is cavitating or no longer pumping water. To resolve this issue, ensure that your reservoir is not empty. If you have water, unplug and plug the pump back in.

Next, if your pump is not pumping at all, unplug it and remove the pump adapter. Submerge the pump with no hose back in water and plug it back in.

In the case that your pump is pushing water out, but the hose is plugged, check to see if your pump valve is closed slightly. If it is, open it fully to remove any blockage at the valve.

If your pump does not push water out the top, unplug it and remove the bottom outlet cover. Check to make sure there is no debris in the pump, such as roots, algae, or string. Remove any debris and check the pump again.

Finally, if your pump does not make any noise, and you confirm that the outlet has power, it may be damaged and needs to be replaced.

We hope this guide has been helpful in troubleshooting your hydroponic pump issues. By following these simple steps, you'll be well on your way to ensuring that your hydroponic system is functioning at its best
