How to Disinfect your system

To begin, it's important to note that there is a thin protective plastic coating on the lids, light cover, and reservoir of your hydroponic system. 

This coating is in place to prevent scratches during shipping, and it should be removed before use.

 Don't worry if the plastic is torn or damaged - this simply means it served its purpose. Once removed, you'll notice a shiny, undamaged surface underneath.


  1. Soap and Water: Soap and water can effectively remove dirt and debris, while also killing some bacteria and viruses.. It's important to thoroughly rinse the system after using soap to ensure that no residue is left behind that could harm the plants.

  2. Hydrogen Peroxide: Mix a solution of 3% hydrogen peroxide with water in a 1:1 ratio and use it to disinfect your hydroponic system. Hydrogen peroxide is a powerful disinfectant that can kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi.

  3. Use vinegar: Mix a solution of white vinegar with water in a 1:1 ratio and use it to disinfect your hydroponic system. Vinegar is a natural disinfectant that can kill bacteria and fungi.
